Professional Development

We provide professional development that is steeped in adult learning theory.  Workshops are designed to be interactive and transformational. Our specialization is empowering K-12 and higher education districts to provide trauma-responsive engagement to increase the social-emotional wellbeing of students who have experienced foster care. However, we provide experiential workshops to other organizations who work with children, youth, and families who have a history of trauma.

We aim to provide diverse options that cater to groups who want a customizable learning experience, yet still prioritize receiving a high-level education. If you have any questions or are interested scheduling a workshop, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Foster/Resource Parent Trainings

We use the foster care lens because it is our belief that if you master the strategies that have proven to be successful with those most deeply impacted by trauma, foster youth, then you can apply them successfully with other trauma survivors.

Foster/Kinship Care Education is a statewide program operating from the community colleges to provide training to foster/resource parents.  However, the workshops are open to anyone who works with children and youth in the child welfare system.
